Bayer Diabetes Care have made the announcement that ‘Didget’ blood glucose monitoring system will launch in the United States. ‘Didget’ is a blood glucose meter that can be attached to Nintendo DS and DS Lite gaming handhelds. The purpose of ‘Didget’ blood glucose monitoring system is to encourage kids who have Diabetes to monitor their lifelong condition.
What makes the ‘Didget’ blood glucose monitoring system different than other monitoring devices is it‘s the only monitoring devices that have game features. The game features in ‘Didget’ will help develop consistent testing habits towards young Diabetic Nintendo DS players by rewarding them with unlockable items. In order to unlock the items in the game, he or she must reach a desirable range set ontheir personalized glucose meter.
The game included inside ‘Didget’ blood glucose monitoring system is called ‘Knock ‘Em Downs: World‘s Fair’. ‘Knock ‘Em Downs: World‘s Fair’ is a full–feature adventure game that divides into mini game.
